What is STEAM?

The main idea is subject integration. Instead of teaching five different lessons for five different subjects, the teacher presents a single idea or project that incorporates concepts from all subjects at once.   

STEAM resembles the way we work and problem solve in our daily lives, which makes it an exceptional method of instruction for learning.  Simply put, instead of teaching math as separate from science, they can be taught together in a way that shows how the knowledge from those two fields complement and support each other.
